Keeping a day job may be the best way to make real art and pay the rent. In this age of dwindling arts funding, filmmakers who can fund their own projects are often the ones with the most artistic freedom. Self-taught filmmaker J.P. Chan shares his experience in making artistically serious no/low-budget short films that have played for audiences around the world. You'll learn how to make movies and get them seen, as J.P. did, with "no experience, no money, and no connections." This workshop includes: a screening of his award-winning short films, advice on the creative process in filmmaking, equipment, marketing, film festivals, and funding with extensive participant-led discussions.
Show Times:
Saturday, November 14, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ Screen Gems Studios
